Moravian College Department of Nursing
The Moravian College Department of Nursing offers a traditional four-year pre-licensure baccalaureate (BS) program, a new 16-month long pre-licensure accelerated BS program for college graduates, a baccalaureate degree completion program for registered nurses (RN to BS), and a master’s (MS) program in nursing that prepares clinical nurse leaders, nurse administrators, nurse educators, and nurse practitioners. Each of these programs prepares men and women for continuous learning, advanced study, and leadership in health care. Nursing students at all levels experience an education that blends compassionate art with scientific inquiry to achieve a transformative education deeply rooted in a rich liberal arts tradition.
Grounded in local and global partnerships, the Department of Nursing has at its core a commitment to the development of students who are acutely aware of the world in which they live and their responsibilities of living in a global, interdependent community. Programs are fully accredited and designed to cultivate in the professional nurse graduate the values of lifelong learning and service to others within a framework of social justice.
The Moravian College baccalaureate and master’s nursing programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, Washington, D.C. The Moravian College pre-licensure and CRNP programs are approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
