Artwork:
Required for all students planning to pursue the graphic design, studio art,
or art education tracks. Not required for art history track.
Please include 6-10 artworks that demonstrate your background in art.
Examples should display a variety of media and subject matter, such as portraiture, landscape, still life, figure, abstract, digital design, collage, ceramics, or photography.
Format:
Either slides, CD, or color laser print-outs
Cover Page:
Please complete this
cover page and submit with your portfolio
and art essay.
Essay:
Required for all prospective art
students, including art history majors.
A short essay on the topic “Why I Want to Study Art”. This should be submitted as a hard copy, typed and double-spaced.
Length: 1 to 2 pages, maximum 2 pages.
Please note: This essay can also be used as your writing sample for your application for admission. If you choose to do so, please submit two copies, one with your portfolio and one to the Office of Admission.
