Management

The management major, with tracks in marketing and organizational leadership, provides a comprehensive background in the functional and environmental areas of business, and serves as a foundation for graduate work in business and management.

The Major in Management

The management curriculum provides a comprehensive background for professional positions in finance, marketing, human resources, and operations management.

Students choose one of two tracks: marketing or organizational leadership.

Both tracks require:

  • College-level algebra and calculus (Mathematics 106-166, 108, or 170)
  • Accounting 157
  • Economics 152, 156, and 225
  • Management 223

In addition, the follow requirements are track-specific:

Marketing Track

  • Management 251, 256, 311, 365
  • Controlled Elective (1 course)
    • Management 227, 228, 250, or 333
  • Free Major Elective (1 course)
    • any course with MGMT prefix (not already taken)

Organizational Leadership Track

  • Management 253, 342, 365
  • Controlled Elective (1 course)
    • Management 226, 227, 231, 251, 310, 324, or 333
  • Free Major Elective (2 courses)
    • any course with MGMT prefix (not already taken)
