Dr.
Unger completed her undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg
University, and her masters and doctoral degrees
at Columbia University. She teaches courses in children's
language and literature, and in reading methods,
and supervises elementary student teachers. Before
joining the Moravian faculty, Dr. Unger taught for
twenty years in the primary and intermediate levels
in elementary schools. She has served as an educational
consultant for a number of area school districts
and intermediate units, has been a trainer for Johnson
and Johnson Cooperative Learning, has published several
articles on collaborative learning, and has presented
papers at numerous conferences.
