Essay should be typed and double-spaced, titled, with numbered pages; your name should
not appear anywhere on the essay itself.
Attach a cover sheet to the essay you are submitting. Include the following information on
your cover sheet:
your name
your campus address, telephone number, and e-mail address
the essay title
the name of your Writing 100 instructor, along with that instructor's signature (Note
that entries without the signature of a current Writing 100 instructor will not be accepted.)
Leave your essay in the drop-off box at the Reeves Library Circulation Desk or the Writing
Center (second floor of Zinzendorf Hall).

be single-spaced.
Recommended length for essays and short stories: 1,000-5,000 words.
Each student submitting poetry may submit a maximum of three poems.
