Writing Center Background

The process of writing can be exhilarating. But it can also be frustrating. Demoralizing. Lonely. The Moravian College Writing Center is an inviting and supportive place where students can talk about writing--any writing, from first essay assignments for Freshman Writing, to lab reports, research papers, and short stories, to personal statements to accompany graduate school applications.

The Writing Center is staffed by Moravian College students who are trained to provide helpful tutoring to students writing at all levels of interest and ability. What a Writing Center tutor won't do is rewrite your paper for you. What he or she will do is go over your work carefully with you, helping to guide you toward the goals you've set for yourself.

We're here to help make the process less lonely and frustrating and more exhilarating. Whatever you are working on--come give us a try!
