JOB POSTING: Police Officer
MORAVIAN COLLEGE's Department of Campus Safety has an immediate opening for a full-time Police Officer. Must have successfully completed PA Act 120 Training and eligible for PA Act 235 Certification. The Police Officer is charged with the security of life, limb, property, and equipment with the institution and the enforcement of all institution rules, regulations, and State and Federal laws.

FLSA STATUS : Non-exempt
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervised by the Director of
Campus Safety/Chief of Police, or in his her absence via the chain of
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree or prior experience as a campus police officer or as a community-based police officer. Must have Act 120 Certification and Certification under PA Act 235 or the ability to become certified is required. The position demands excellent organizational skills as well as superior interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Must be able to work all shifts and overtime as necessary. Must submit to a background check, and upon conditional appointment, pass a medical and psychological examination and drug screening. Must be in excellent physical condition to respond to emergencies and handle criminal incidents in accordance with the rules of Campus Safety.
