JOB POSTING: Academic Programs Administrator

The Academic Programs Administrator works with the dean and assistant dean to increase enrollment in Comenius Center programs, provides basic financial assistance information to Comenius Center students, and performs academic administrative work, particularly related to recruitment, admission, and retention of new students. This position is a part-time appointment, renewable annually and ineligible for benefits.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Administrative Staff

QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates are required to have a baccalaureate degree. Prior experience with recruitment and academic administration is highly desirable.  Familiarity with adult and other non-traditional student populations and with the small, liberal arts college environment are pluses as is prior work with web software, social media, and databases.  The Academic Programs Administrator must be a self-starter, with strong planning and organizational abilities, superior interpersonal skills, and solid written and oral communication skills.  The position requires a combination of day, evening and, at times, weekend hours.  Local travel required.
