JOB POSTING: Administrative Support Assistant
The Administrative Support Assistant for Student Affairs provides administrative, technical, and clerical assistance and support for administrators in the Career Center/Center for Leadership and Service with some assistance provided to the HUB/Event Management/Summer Conferences team.
This is a full time, 10 month position.
CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Student Affairs-Career Center & Center for Leadership and Service
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Supervised by Associate Dean of Students and Director of Career Development with direction from the Director of Leadership Development, Assistant Director of Career Development and Assistant Director of Career & Alumni Relations.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises work-study students as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a high school diploma, with two to three years related experience. The position demands excellent organizational skills as well as superior interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Requires a team player who can multitask and work under firm deadlines while maintaining confidentiality. Computer literacy as well as experience with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets is essential. Knowledge of desktop publishing, web page maintenance and creation, and web navigation applications is preferred. Knowledge of basic F-1 (student) visa USCIS rules and regulations, desired.
