JOB POSTING: Part-Time Police Dispatcher
The Part-time Police Dispatcher is responsible for receiving calls placed to the Department of Campus Safety and dispatching campus police officers as needed. In addition, this individual is responsible for the maintenance of logs and other necessary paperwork.

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency and 2-3 years’ related work experience. Must understand the geographical locations on campus and be able to communicate these locations to the appropriate individuals. Previous use of a 2-way police radio is preferred but not necessary. The position demands excellent organizational skills as well as superior interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an ability to work with all constituencies of the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Computer literacy as well as experience with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets is essential. Must be able to maintain confidential information. Physical requirements include sitting and telephone usage with occasional stretching to reach logbooks in overhead shelves. Phone answering does not prevent standing, stretching, or walking. Must be able to work dayshift (7:00 am to 3 pm), middle shift (3:00 to 11:00pm), or night shift (11pm to 7am) or their equivalency on week-ends.
