Assistant Professor - Mathematics & Computer Science

  • Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Moravian College invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position beginning in Fall 2013. Candidates should have a PhD in mathematics or statistics. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and scholarship in a liberal arts environment.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in statistics, operations research, modeling, or other applied fields.

Applications should include a cover letter, CV, statement of teaching philosophy, statement of research interests, and three letters of recommendation, at least one of which addresses the applicant's teaching.

The cover letter should address how the applicant's experience is suited to a liberal arts college. Applicants who will be attending the Joint Meetings in January are encouraged to note this in their cover letter.
