Assistant Professor - Chemistry
Beginning Fall Term 2014
Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in chemistry.
The Chemistry Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position; a PhD in chemistry is required. A degree in analytical or environmental chemistry is preferred, but we will also consider applicants with teaching experience in analytical or environmental chemistry. The major teaching responsibility will be courses and labs in analytical chemistry: Quantitative Analysis and Instrumental Analysis. Depending on interest and experience, the successful candidate will also contribute to the General Chemistry course, various liberal arts chemistry courses, or the Environmental Chemistry course. Publishable research that engages undergraduate students is expected. Moravian College has a 1.5 million dollar endowment for undergraduate research that in part funds its summer undergraduate research program.
