JOB POSTING: Human Resources & Institutional Research Assistant
The HR/IR Assistant provides clerical and research support to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Institutional Research by performing a variety of tasks that are highly confidential and require specialized knowledge. Independent judgment is required in the application of policies, procedures and laws.
CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Some college preferred with at least 5 years related human resources experience. The position demands excellent organizational skills as well as superior interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Requires a team player who can multitask and work under firm deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality. Computer literacy as well as experience with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets is essential. Web design knowledge is helpful. Must have the ability to demonstrate fairness, diplomacy and discretion with all persons. Prior experience in higher education a plus.
