JOB POSTING: Field Hockey Intern

Moravian College is accepting applications for an Intern Field Hockey Coach. This ten month, full-time internship position involves providing assistance to the department in coaching/administration for the Moravian College varsity field hockey team. The field hockey intern also is responsible for implement­ing programs and strategies to attract quality student-athletes to the College consistent with the policies and regulations governing NCAA Division III institutions, the conference and the college. The assistant coach reports to the head coach and assists in all matters relating to operations in the sport of field hockey. The administrative portion of the position will be assigned in game management and/or another area as determined by the Chair / Director of the department. All interns will be involved in at least one administrative unit of the department and asked to work on behalf of all programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Past playing and/or coaching experience required; intercollegiate level preferred; goal keeping experience preferred.  Related coaching experience in other areas/levels considered (directly related personal experience or college courses may be substituted equally for up to one year’s experience); or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
