Moravian College is accepting applications for a Tennis Intern. The Tennis Intern provides assistance to the department in coaching/administration of the Moravian College varsity tennis teams. The tennis intern also is responsible for implementing programs and strategies to attract quality student-athletes to the College consistent with the policies and regulations governing NCAA Division III institutions, the conference and the college. The intern assistant coach reports to the Director of Tennis and assists in all matters relating to operations in the sport of tennis. The administrative portion of the position includes assisting with the coordination of the intramural program during the winter months under the direction of our Coordinator of Intramurals. Other administrative duties could be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Past playing and/or coaching experience required; intercollegiate level preferred; Related coaching experience in other areas/levels considered (directly related personal experience or college courses may be substituted equally for up to one year’s experience); or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be able to work well with student-athletes. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
