POLICE OFFICER
MORAVIAN COLLEGE's
Department of Campus Safety has an immediate opening for a full-time
Police Officer. Must be Act 120 certified. regular schedule 7 days
on 3 days off with every other weekend off. The Police Officer
is charged with the security of life, limb, property, and equipment
with the institution and the enforcement of all institution rules, regulations,
and State and Federal laws.

SUPERVISION
RECEIVED: Supervised by the Director of Campus Safety/Chief
of Police, or in his her absence via the chain of command.

ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree or prior experience as a
campus police officer or as a community-based police officer. Must have
Act 120 Certification. The position demands excellent organizational
skills as well as superior interpersonal skills (verbal and written),
and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of
the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition
to the general public. Must submit to a background check. Must be in
excellent physical condition to respond to emergencies and handle criminal
incidents in accordance with the rules of Campus Safety. Must be able
to work all shifts and overtime as necessary.
