JOB POSTING: Secretary - Psychology Dept
Key responsibilities include providing secretarial and clerical assistance to the departmental faculty and students to aid them with their teaching, research and learning responsibilities. This position is part-time, ten-months during the academic year (mid-August through mid-May) and ineligible for benefits.
Start Date: Mid August
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction of the department chair, supports psychology aculty.
SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: Student office workers as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school degree and 3 years related experience. excellent organizational skills interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an ability with all constituencies of the College and Seminary including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public. Requires a team player who can multitask and work under firm deadlines while maintaining confidentiality. Computer literacy as well as experience with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets is essential. Prior experience in higher education a plus. Must be able to climb stairs, ambulate to run errands and carry items up to ten pounds.
