Ralph E. Brodt, III is an Artist-Lecturer of trombone
at Moravian College. A graduate of Moravian College with B.A.
in Music Education, his teachers included Dr. Henry Schmidt (trombone),
Donald Spieth (conducting), and Richard Schantz (choral interpretation
and conducting). He has taught in both private and public sectors
for over 35 years. He currently works at the Nazareth Music Center
in instrument sales and repairs. From 1980-1992 he was the director
of music and choral director at Allentown Central Catholic High
School. Prior to this he served in the USMC. During his service,
he conducted and arranged music for the Basic School's men's chorus
and was honored with a requested performance at the National Cathedral
in Washington, DC.
Ralph has performed with the Lehigh Valley Chamber
Orchestra, PA Sinfonia, Allentown Symphony, Bach Festival Orchestra,
Guy Lombardo, Bob Grausso, Bill Watrous, Rob Stoneback, Marilyn
Horn & Barbara Cook, and Bobby Vinton. He performs with many
various quartets and quintets in the Lehigh Valley. He is also
conductor of the Nazareth Area Community Band. In his free time
he enjoys arranging musical scores for trombone quartets, brass
quintets and for the community band.
