PURPOSE
The
encouragement of the art of music through study and performance
at all levels for any student or member of the community is the
mission of the Moravian College Music Institute.
In non-degree program offerings, the Moravian College
Music Institute strives
- to provide the highest quality music education
for all ages and levels of ability
- to foster fulfilling musical encounters for
the community through a wide selection of private and group
instruction, and performance with large and chamber ensembles,
in addition to courses, lectures, concerts, and summer residential
programs
- to build a strong foundation of knowledge and
technique on which students can develop their full musical potential
within a nurturing and scholarly environment
- to assume a leadership role in emphasizing the
importance of music education in the greater Lehigh Valley area
- to provide continuing opportunities for growth
as performers and teachers of music
- to schedule a full year's calendar of concerts
and recitals performed by students, faculty, and visiting artists
