Arts & Humanities Search
Subject: Humanities.
Arts & Humanities Search covers articles in the world's leading arts and humanities journals. Some social science and science journals are also included.


ATLA: Religion Database
Subject: Humanities > Religion & Theology.
ATLA provides access to scholarly articles and chapters from multi-authored books about theology and religion. It is the premier theology and religion database.


Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Subject: Multidisciplinary
The Directory of Open Access Journals is a selection of freely available full-text journals in a variety of subjects. Their search page is one way to find articles that are freely available.


HighWire Press Stanford University
Subject: Multidisciplinary.
HighWire Press hosts the largest repository of high impact, peer-reviewed content, with 1054 journals and 4,343,436 full text articles from over 130 scholarly publishers. Some articles are available in full text.


JSTOR

New Testament Abstracts

This database is created through a partnership between ATLA and Boston College. It contains over 40,000 article abstracts, 1,200 review abstracts, 14,900 book abstracts, and 50 software abstracts.  


Old Testament Abstracts
Subject: Humanities > Philosophy, Theology & Religion.
Old Testament Abstracts includes content from over 450 journals related to Old Testament studies. All abstracts are in English, regardless of the language of the original work. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, philology and much more. Coverage in the database dates back to 1978.


Philosopher's Index
Subject: Humanities. Philosophy
This index is considered the most thorough coverage of scholarly articles for philosophy. It indexes 570 journals, beginning in 1940.


Project MUSE
Subject: Humanities. Social Sciences.
Project Muse provides access to scholarly articles covering the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, and gender studies.
