CQ Researcher offers full-text comprehensive research on current events and issues. It is a great place to start researching current issues and controversies, because the articles are clear and provide many references for further research.


Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Subject: Multidisciplinary
The Directory of Open Access Journals is a selection of freely available full-text journals in a variety of subjects. Their search page is one way to find articles that are freely available.


Lexis Nexis Academic Universe
Subject: Multidisciplinary. News.
Lexis Nexis Academic Universe provides access to national and international newspapers, including articles covering corporate news; medical/health topics; legal news, reviews and reporters; federal case law; US Code; and state legal research.


Newspaper Source
Subject: News.
Newspaper Source contains abstracts for national newspaper articles, and full-text news articles from over 180 regional U.S. newspapers, international newspapers, newswires, newspaper columns and other sources.
