Academic Search Elite
is a multidisciplinary database covering both popular and scholarly journals. This database is most useful for students in the early stages of research, because searches return a broad range of article results


Arxiv
Subject: Physics. Computer Science. Sciences.
Arxiv is a freely available database of eprints from the Cornell University Libraries. Eprints are copies of papers that are in the process of being published; these are necessary in fields that demand a high level of currency for research.


Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Subject: Multidisciplinary
The Directory of Open Access Journals is a selection of freely available full-text journals in a variety of subjects. Their search page is one way to find articles that are freely available.


HighWire Press Stanford University
Subject: Multidisciplinary.
HighWire Press hosts the largest repository of high impact, peer-reviewed content, with 1054 journals and 4,343,436 full text articles from over 130 scholarly publishers. Some articles are available in full text.


IOP Science
Subject: Sciences > Physics.
IOP Science offers access to the Institute of Physics journals in full-text.


MathSciNet
Subject: Sciences > Mathematics.
MathSciNet provides access to scholarly mathematics articles dating back to 1940, including the mathematics research literature in Math Reviews. Contains abstracts only.


ScienceDirect
Subject: Sciences.
ScienceDirect provides access to scholarly articles covering virtually all science and technology related fields. Contains abstracts and full-text access to articles in journals to which Moravian subscribes, dating back to 1999. Ask a librarian how to limit your search to only full text.


Web of Knowledge
Subject: Sciences. Social Sciences.
Web of Knowledge contains the two databases: Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Science Citation Index. These databases are core to science and social science research.


Wiley Interscience
Subject: Sciences. Social Sciences. Business & Industry.
Wiley Interscience provides access to scholarly articles covering virtually all science and technology related fields, business, and some social sciences. Contains abstracts and full-text access to articles in journals to which Moravian and other local colleges and universities subscribe, dating back to 1997.
