Guide to Searching All EBSCOHost Databases

Go to the Library Home Page.
Click on Search Article Databases.
Click on Multi-disciplinary.
Choose EBSCOHost to access any of the EBSCOHost databases, including Academic Search Elite, Business Source Elite, CINAHL, Heath Source Academic, MLA and PsycINFO.

For on campus access, click . The database will open in a new window.

For off campus access, click . You will be prompted for your library borrower number, which is located near the barcode at the bottom of your Moravian ID card. It begins with the numbers 2305900...

Check the box next to the title of any database/s you want to search. You can search databases simultaneously, but some of the advanced functionality will be lost.

Click on Continue button.

Type your terms in the Find: text boxes.

If you need to use “or,” between two terms, type the terms on the same line with the word "or" between them.

For example: murder or homicide

If you want only scholarly journals, check the Peer Reviewed box (not available on all EBSCOHost databases or when doing a search across two or more databases).

Click on the Search button.

You will see a list of hits that are relevant to your search.

To find out how to get the full article, you must look for holdings information located just below each article description. There are 3 possible messages you will find there:

1. PDF Full Text or HTML Full Text: If you see this, click on the link to full text, and you will get the full text of the article online. Note: to print PDFs, you must use the printer icon within the PDF screen - NOT the browser's printer icon, which will print blank pages.
   
2. Check to See if Reeves owns this journal: If you see this, click on the link to see what holdings Reeves has in print and online for the journal you want. If the article is in print, it is located downstairs in the library.
   
3. Borrow this Item from Another Library: This means Reeves does not own the journal you are interested in. If you want this article, you can click on the Borrow link, fill out the form, and you will get a call when the article arrives at Reeves.
   

To print the descriptions of useful articles:

Click on the Add icon to the right of each citation. When you have checked all the article citations you want, scroll to the top of your search screen and click on the Folder icon on the right.

Click on the Print button.
Click on the Print button on the next screen.
Click on the browser’s Print button .

To email the records to yourself, click on the Email button and follow instructions.
