assigned to the article. The subjects indicate the
content of the source. When you find a good source, check the
subjects
(called descriptors
in some databases) for other
good terms and combinations of terms to search. This strategy
will insure that you do the most thorough and effective search
of the database for material on your topic. The
subjects,
also called controlled
vocabulary, are the official language of the database.
