identifying the audience for
which a site is intended, users can determine its suitability
as an academic source.
A
particular age group --
children, teens, adults, senior citizens?
Knowledge of the subject --
individual in the street, people with
some knowledge of the subject, experts?
Specialized groups --
academics, consumers,
a professional group, etc.
Note:
The
level of difficulty of the language used is a good indicator of
the group for whom the site is intended.
