The Department of Sociology offers two tracks—sociology and law and society—each exploring human social behavior through studies of sociological research and theory. Students graduate with a knowledge of group dynamics, values and social norms that prepares them for careers as counselors, criminologists, statisticians, urban planners, community organizers, various professions in the criminal justice system, and social workers.
