About the Living and Learning Community
The MISSION of the Living-Learning Communities program at Moravian College:
The LLCS will serve to:
• bring faculty, staff, and students together around a common theme,
• develop students academically and personally,
• develop a stronger residential community, and
• enhance & enrich in-class instruction with focused out-of-class learning experiences.
Junior Fellows (JFs) live in (or near) each LLC suite with first-year students. They serve as
their Student Advisor, plan programs and activities around the LLC theme, and help students
integrate their in- and out-of-classroom experiences.
LLCs assist students in building strong, cohesive peer-support systems that will serve them
throughout their academic and professional careers.
The LLC program exists in The HILL (Hurd Integrated Living and Learning community), a
residence hall that opened in Fall 2009 on the Hurd Campus.
