Community Grants are provided through a generous grant to The Leadership Center. The goal of this grant program is to create meaningful collaborations between the college and the local community that will impact student learning and development.
The Leadership Center is interested in initiatives that bring together Moravian College and the local community in a way that demonstrates mutual benefits. Many faculty and students are currently engaged with the local community. This funding opportunity provides financial support to those who could enhance their work with funding or those who wish to establish a new College-community connection.
The proposal for a community grant must be made by a student-faculty or student-administrative staff team that has already sought cooperation from a community partner (e.g., nonprofit, school, church, neighborhood association, hospital). The project may be ongoing or may be a one-time workshop, event, or activity. A Call for Proposals is sent out at the beginning of each semester. Questions about Community Grants should be sent to Dr. Michelle Schmidt.
