Students with disabilities are best accommodated in the most integrated setting possible. In exam situations, students with disabilities are at a disadvantage if they are taking an exam in the Academic & Disability Support Office and the course instructor allows for test question clarification, for example, so faculty are encouraged to arrange for accommodated exams within their departments.
In the event that arrangements cannot be made within a faculty member’s department, students may arrange to take their exams in the Academic & Disability Support Office by completing the “Accommodated Testing Request Form”, and submitting it to the Academic & Disability Support Office ONE WEEK prior to any regular exam and TWO WEEKS prior to mid-term exams and final exams.
