The Hillside complex consists of six buildings split into 27 separate units of 5-, 8- and 13-person configurations. Each air-conditioned unit consists of all single bedrooms, is fully furnished and offers a large living room, two full baths and kitchenette. This area houses 173 students, including one undergraduate Resident Director and four undergraduate Resident Advisors. The staff is available to assist students with all aspects of residential living.
The 8- and 13-person units are generally used as upperclass singles and/or Special Interest Houses. Hillside 6C, a 5-person unit, is home to the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.
Hillsides are located along W. Laurel St. on the south side of Main Campus. Students enjoy close proximity to all campus amenities, including the Haupert Union Building, the Athletics and Recreation Center and the Reeves Library. Each Hillside building has a large green space and picnic facilities for outdoor activities.
All individual bedrooms sleep one student, are approximately 10' wide by 12' deep and are completely furnished (see floor plan). Every room is assigned a discreet phone line that provides local access and students are given a pass-code for long-distance calls (students must provide a phone for the room). The College supplies basic cable TV service to each student room and the living room.
Each student has direct access to the college computer network for data storage and internet connection (there are two data ports in the room). Specific information regarding the campus network, computing resources and recommended system requirements can be found on the MC CIT Website.
