Clewell Hall on Hurd Campus
Students living on the Hurd Campus can eat in Clewell dining Hall where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served Monday-Friday. The College provides regularly scheduled bus service between the Hurd and Main Campuses seven days per week from 7:30am until after midnight. As part of the Campus Safety network, the Hurd Campus emergency and fire safety systems report directly to MC Campus Police. Openning in the mid-19 th Century as a private residence, Clewell Hall is now home to 21 men in various double- and single-room configurations. Clewell Hall has the same amenities as all residential facilities, including laundry, computer networking, campus telephone service, basic cable TV and emergency service equipment. In addition, Clewell Hall has a full kitchen for residents’ use. Clewell is a very short walk up Church St. from Main Hall, Clewell Dining Hall and the rest of the Hurd Campus. Clewell Hall is staffed by one Resident Assistant and is part of the Hurd Campus residential complex along with Main Hall. Clewell residents generally engage in activities and programs with the students in Main Hall, and also sponsor their own events, including occasional Sunday afternoon outdoor barbeques and their annual Clewell Haunted House, a campus favorite.
