Master Class

Ursula Hegi will lead an advanced workshop for fiction writers on weaving research into the fabric of fiction.  Participating writers are encouraged to bring a brief passage (250 words maximum) describing research into a topic—historical or contemporary—of particular importance to them, or to one of their characters.  The goal of the workshop will be to generate new work. 
Participants must apply in advance, and a group of ten to twelve writers will be selected by the Conference Advisory Committee.  

Application deadline: April 18, 2014.
Participants will be notified by May 9, 2014.

To apply, submit a short story or excerpt from a longer work of fiction (15 pages maximum, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12 pt. font).
