There is a lot to know about me! I’m currently a sophomore at Moravian College. I love it here, and I’m excited to be learning about teaching! I’m involved with many different organizations on campus: I’m a member of Emerging Leaders, the social sorority Alpha Sigma Alpha, and 26 points, I tutor for the writing center, I mentor a child for The Learning Connection, I write for Junk, I work with the theatre company as often as I can, and I’m on the staff of the Manuscript. These activities certainly keep me very busy, but I love each and every one!
I’m originally from Maryland, where I live with my amazing parents in a small town called Sykesville about 45 minutes northwest of Baltimore. Since I am from Maryland, during the summer I love to eat crabs as often as possible! This summer one of my sorority sisters came to visit and I taught her how to pick crabs. It was very exciting : )
For the past ten years, my family has participated in Relay For Life in honor of my mother (an 11 year breast cancer survivor), and most recently in memory of my godfather and great uncle (both of whom have lost the battle to pancreatic cancer), just to name a few.
This is an amazing event, and even when I can’t make it to the whole thing (this year I had to work that evening and therefore arrived late), I make sure to go and to walk and raise money in my godfather’s memory.

One thing you may not know about me is that I love to travel! As a child, my parents took me on long car trips to various places around the country during summers, and now I’m ready to see the rest of the world! This summer I went to Sweden, where I stayed with friends and explored the city of Stockholm. We also traveled for a weekend up to their country house in the city of Sundsvall, which is where I got to climb rocks over the Baltic. Sweden is a beautiful country, and I loved every minute of my time there!
