Sample Lesson Plans and Classroom Ideas

On this page, you will find sample lesson plans that I created for various education classes at Moravian College as well as projects and bullentin boards that I created for the School Age Classroom, while employed by Lehigh Valley Children's Center at South Mountain.

Sample Lesson Plans

Lesson Plan 1
  • This lesson plan was written for Art in the Elementary Classroom. It is a history/social studies lesson plan about the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Lesson Plan 2
  • This lesson plan was written for Educational Psychology. It is a mathematics lesson plan about statistics and collecting data using Skittles.
Lesson Plan 3
  • This lesson plan was also written for Educational Psychology. It is an environment and ecology about threatened, endangered, and extinct organisms.


Classroom Projects and Bullentin Boards

Planets Alien Bulletin Board
This picture features replicas of the planets the students created, using paper mache and paint, for a unit on the Solar System. This bulletin board was created as part of a Solar System unit for the School Age classroom. I designed the project of the aliens the children created based on a story that we read.
Cat Display Fish
This project was created based on the book, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, by Laura Numeroff. The students designed their own cupcakes, which were then glued onto the large cupcake to be displayed in the classroom. This picture displays fish that the children designed and colored collectively as part of an Ocean unit.
