My name is Nadine Abdouche and I am
a undergraduate student, pursuing my Bachelor Degree
in Psychology and my teaching certificate for
Elementary Education at Moravian College, in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I am a Lehigh Valley native
and graduated from Whitehall High School in 2009.
While attending Whitehall-Coplay
School District, I was apart of the High School's swim
team and took piano lessons for a decade. I played in
recitals and for Whitehall's choir. I also was
fortunate enough to travel the world growing up. I am
full Syrian and speak the Arabic language fluently. I
also got the privilege to summer in my family's home
in Syria every summer. Traveling to Syria, I stopped
in many other countries such as: France, Italy,
Turkey, Hungary, Egypt, Greece, Germany and much more.
These experiences shaped the individual that I am
today and helped me make the decision of becoming an
educator. Unfortunately, not every child around the
world has the opportunity to learn and receive an
education. Therefore, I want to contribute to helping
children learn and receive the benefits of an
education.

| Attending Moravian
College, I became a part of a wonderful community where
I learned discipline and hard work. I was challenged to
my best ability and participated in the Psychology Club
and was a member of Kapa Delta Pi. I also was an America
Reads tutor where I was privileged in helping children
in the Bethlehem School District in enhancing their
reading and writing skills. This was very beneficial for
me because I had the chance in working with children who
were exceptional and struggled due to disabilities. As a
Psychology major, I was granted the privilege in
presenting my research at the LVAIC Psychology
Conference at Lafayette College. This was very fortunate
because I was recommended by my professor to present my
research and fortunately my application was accepted.
This opportunity allowed me to interact with other
psychologist in the Lehigh Valley and my presentation
stood out and it was recognized by professionals in this
area. |

Outside of school activities, I enjoy spending time
with my family and friends. I have an older brother
and three younger sisters. My sisters are my best
friends and they are the ones that helped me realize
that helping children is my passion because I was
always the one they went too when they had any type of
problem, whether it was school related or personal.
Like any typical girl, I love to shop with my mother. I
am a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and I enjoy watching
any type of football game. Music and art is my passion,
I enjoy playing the piano and singing to relax. I love
to incorporate music and art in my teachings and find
that if students can be creative they will be more
excited to learn. I have always known that I wanted to
work with children. I fell in love with psychology
admitting into college and hoped to become a school
psychologist one day. Pursuing high education is my
future goal after graduation and my lifetime goal is to
work with children in schools and help them overcome
stressful periods of their life. |
