Two things that I love are
music and art. I play electric bass, and I dabble on the
keyboard. I also enjoy painting and drawing (Check out my painting website. Click on paintings

to see photos). I'm excited to find ways of
bringing music and art into the classroom. The first lesson
I taught when I was pre-student teaching at Liberty High
School was on modernizing fairy tales. The students used
their creative writing skills to update old fairy tales from
the 1800's and 1900's to make them more modern. I put their
stories together into a book. I had a few students
brainstorm on what the book should be called and what should
be on the front cover. They came up with "Urban Fairy
Tales," and I drew the picture for the cover.
