I
can’t wait to get into the classroom…
My
educational background begins at a local high school,
Bethlehem Catholic.
Upon graduation, I ventured across Pennsylvania
and entered another state, Ohio, to attend a four-year
college, The University of Dayton (UD) in Dayton, Ohio.
While
at UD, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in
Business, with a major in Marketing and a minor in
Computer Science. After
graduation, I returned to Bethlehem and worked for a
software development company. My first
position was a Software Instructor. My passion for
teaching developed as a result of teaching software
applications to newspaper personnel across the United
States and Canada.
Additionally,
I
advanced my instructor skills in to customer service,
sales and marketing.
During this time, I decided to expand my overall
experience in to community service as a volunteer fire
fighter. I
met my husband in a fire class, we fell in love and
married a few years later.
Soon
after we were married, I was presented with a unique
opportunity to substitute teach. This
experience has led me to my second calling. Shortly after
this revelation, we welcomed the newest addition to our
family, our daughter Savanna. She helped me
decide to return to school to earn my PA teacher
certification.
So here
I am today, once again a student; this time at Moravian
College. I
will soon complete my classes and student teaching and
will be ready to take on new responsibilities as a PA
certified teacher.
I can’t
wait to get into the classroom…
