Hello! My name is Olivia Evanko and I am currently a Junior at Moravian College. I grew up in Nazareth, Pa where I graduated from Nazareth High School in 2008. In high school, I played softball and field hockey for all four years. I was involved in Student Government, Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics.
Throughout my life, I worked on my family farm where we grew corn, pumpkins, strawberries and other produce. My sister and I loved getting our hands dirty and working to provide our community with fresh produce.
While at Moravian, I am studying English and Secondary
Education. Also, I play softball for Moravian. Last year, we were lucky
enough
to make it into the World Series where we were ranked in the top 8 in
the
nation. Hopefully, this year will follow a similar path. Also, I am
apart of
the Student Athlete Association Committee at Moravian College.
Outside of
school-related activities, I love spending time
with my friends and family. I chose to go to Moravian so I would be
close to my
family and still be able to see them on a regular basis. One of my
biggest
hobbies is reading. I will read anything just because reading is an
adventure
every time. Also, my friends and I are huge crafters. On the weekends,
we will
make elaborate mosaics and build enormous birdhouses. In addition, I
love
spending time in Washington D.C where my sister and her husband reside.
I try
to visit once a month. Usually we are thirsting for knowledge and head
to the
National Mall.
