Miss Heath

me Sienna Mae Heath is a multi-faceted and multicultural writer and an aspiring educator for elementary-aged students. She graduated with honors in English at Moravian College in May 2011 after completing a 100-page research paper and oral presentation on the philosophical and psychological development and effectiveness of different types of communication. As a result, Sienna is very interested in using new technologies in the traditional and virtual classroom settings. She pursues her career interest in Elementary Education also at Moravian College.
Along with her interest in elementary education, Sienna has a strong interest in children's literature. She is teaching literacy and creative writing lessons in her fifth grade field experience at Buchanan Elementary School during Fall 2011. Sienna has written a children's book and will be attending the KSRA (Keystone State Reading Association) Conference in October 2011. Her six-year-old niece is one of the most inspirational people with regard to Sienna's interest in educating children.
choir Sienna has been singing in choirs since she was eight years old. She traveled to Canada with the Keystone Girls Choir, to Hershey Park and Williamsburg, Virginia with the Pen Argyl Area School District's Music Department, and performed in the nationally renowned Vespers Service with Moravian College's choir and women's chorus for five seasons since her freshman year of college in 2007. Sienna has also played the cello, solo, and in small and big ensembles during these years.
Sienna is quite the adventuress (at times)! She found herself interrailing around Europe while studying in the City of Literature, Edinburgh, Scotland. To read more about her adventures and more of her writing, visit her personal website at www.heartizen.com/smh.htm.

Sienna is passionate about and gaining experience in careers in elementary education, publishing, public relations, and print and broadcast journalism.
