I attended Liberty High School
in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania from 2004 to 2008. I graduated in the top 2%
of my class with a GPA of 3.9 over my four years in high school. In
addition, I received the Lamp of Knowledge for obtaining straight A's
throughout all four years of high school. While at Liberty, I
participated in the Math Club and helped set up events such as prom. I
volunteered my time to help teachers with grading papers and staying
after school to set up events for the night. |
| After high school, I decided to
attend Moravian College to pursue a degree in secondary math. I
have obtained an overall GPA of 3.8 with a GPA of 4.0 in my major. At
Moravian College, I continued my involvement with helping professors
with grading papers. In addition, I have also worked with different
math professors in helping with their research projects such as being
video taped while working on a proof. In order to have a better
experience and improve my skills with teaching, I work as a Math tutor
for Moravian's Math Department. |

While I was attending Elementary
and Middle School, I participated in a program called the Math 24
Challenge Competition. In this competition, a player is against four
players at a table and a card with four numbers is placed in front of
them. A person then uses basic math operations (multiplication,
division, addition, and subtraction) on the four numbers in order to
obtain to obtain at the end the number 24. I participated this program
for four years. In those four years, I received three silver medals and
a gold medal in the Lehigh Valley district which allowed me to go to
Harrisburg to participate in the state competition. For more
information on the game and the rules, please visit Math 24 Competition. |
