Educational Experiences

Moravian Academy Lower School

For my first field experience through Moravian College, I was placed at Moravian Academy in the Bethlehem Area School District.  I worked with Mrs. Schenkel in her 4th grade classroom.  During this experience, I learned a great deal about elementary schoolers.  It was a great experience getting to know the students and having my first experience in a classroom.

                  

Northeast Middle School

My second field placement through Moravian College was at Northeast Middle School.  I worked with Ms. Ehrlich in her 7th grade classrooms where she provided learning support for Math and Science.  I enjoyed getting to experience a higher grade level.  I also loved learning how to provide a rewarding inclusion setting for students from Ms.Ehrlich.

Liberty High School

My next field placement was at Liberty High School.  I was placed in an
America Reads classroom with Ms. Piripavel.  Through this experience,
I got to tutor 9th to 12th grade students in English.  This experience
was very eye-opening.  I found it very helpful to have students in a
classroom placed on ability rather than grade level.
