We received information regarding Amnesty International; what it is,
where it began, frequently asked questions, and the universal declaration
of human rights. (If you don't have an information packet yet, ask Bindesh,
Amnesty's president, for one at the next meeting.)

"Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide voluntary activist
movement working towards the observance of all human rights as
enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other
international standards. The actions of thousands of individuals give AI
the leverage to be the most effective human rights organization in the
world."

- We discussed last year's events, such as our luncheon with speaker
Harry Wu, a former political prisoner of China

- We also talked about securing prospective speakers for this year

- We voted on several different t-shirt designs (the t-shirts are in the
process of being ordered) to sell at the kiosk throughout the year as a
fund raiser
