When I was a freshman, I attended Gettysburg College, so my first experience was at the Upper Adams School District. At first I wanted to major in elementary education, so I had a third grade class here. While at Biglerville Elementary school, I realized I wanted to do secondary education instead. I had a wonderful experience there and an awesome co-operating teacher, but the middle and high school kids are who I want to work with!

As a sophomore at Moravian College, I had my first experience at Liberty High School. I was very intimidated by the size and because it was my first experience with the older age group. I had a 9th and 10th grade English class, with a very fun co-operating teacher. Obviously vry different from my first experience, I observed a lot, while taking a lot of notes while watching my co-operating teacher in different settings and situations. I also taught a few lessons. Here, I learned how to cope with block scheduling and older kids.

In my junior year at Moravian, I had a different kind of educational experience. In Edu260, I had a tutoring experience where I went into a sixth grade classroom and worked closely with certain students. These students were ones who were slightly behind and needed help catching up. It was a very new and different experience for me. I loved being able to get close and work with a few students because it helped me help them even more than if I was with the whole class. I had a great experience here, and I wish I could have spent more time in this classroom.
