My husband and I moved to the Lehigh Valley just after we were married and have a daughter in middle school.  I love the diversity of our public schools and I'm impressed with the teaching methods that are being used. 

My background is in IT.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and I am working towards a teaching certificate.  I have been in leadership/training positions at different points in my career so I can truly appreciate the time and energy it takes to be a great teacher.

My hobbies include reading and crafting.  I am currently enjoying the Newbery books and have found several new favorites.  I love to create things and have found that my crafting skills have been very useful in enhancing lessons with manipulatives and visual aids.

If I were to choose a class pet, it would be a lizard.
