My first field experience at Moravian College was located at ASA Packer. I was placed in Ms. Bartholomew's 4th grade class. I really enjoyed this experience. I was able to work with the students on everyday assignments. I administered spelling tests and I even was able to teach a few lessons.
My second field experience was located at the Moravian Academy Upper School. My placement was in Mr. Caldwell's 11th grade AP United States History Class. This was an excellent experience. Mr. Caldwell was an excellent teacher to work with. I was able to observe and work with not only Mr. Caldwell's class but all of the other History teachers as well. While in Mr. Caldwell's class I had the opportunity to teach two of his classes a lesson on the Student Movement during the Vietnam War.
My third experience so far here at Moravian was located at Liberty High School. This was by far my most interesting field experience. I was placed in Mrs. Donnelly's and Mrs. DeLeon's ESL classes. I had never worked with ESL students before and I really learned a lot. I spent my time tutoring students and helping them with assignments. We worked on computers, read together, and worked on simple pronunciation of English vocabulary.
