My fascination with foreign languages and cultures was born when I was very young.  I credit my interest in and love for the Spanish language specifically to a book I received when I was three years old, entitled Let’s Learn Spanish Picture Dictionary.  The brightly colored pages of that book sparked within me a desire to learn more, and that is what I have been doing ever since.

My greatest love outside of the realm of the languages and language arts is and always has been music.  I took piano lessons for eight years when I was younger, and I have played the flute since I was in the fourth grade, and I also love to sing.  Throughout high school I participated in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, County Bands and District Bands, and have enjoyed continuing my involvement in music in college.  So far during my time here at Moravian, I have participated in the Marching Band, Orchestra, College Choir, Baroque Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, and Celtic Ensemble.

Other Honors and Activities

In addition to my participation in the music program, I am also a member Gamma Sigma Sigma, a national service sorority, and Phi Sigma Iota, an international foreign language honors fraternity.  Additionally, I have been placed on the Dean’s List for every semester to date.
