Educational Experiences

My first field experience was at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  I was in a 12th grade social studies class.  The first half of the semester the class was American Government and then after midterms it became an Economics class.  I enjoyed observing in this class because I got the opportunity to observe a high school social studies class which is what I want to teach.  It was a great experience interacting with students for the first time and my cooperating teacher kept me very involved.  His class was always an active learning environment which is the type of learning environment I will strive to create.

My second field experience was at Nitschmann Middle School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  Here I was in a 6th grade math and language arts class.  I enjoyed my time here because it was more of a hands on experience for myself.  My cooperating teacher constantly urged me to help around the class in anyways I could.  Therefore I spent alot of time helping students one on one with their work.  It was very rewarding because I saw the students' work improving throughout the semester.
