Alana Speicher will
be the new art teacher at Nazareth High School, in the Nazareth Area
School District come October. She is thrilled to be teaching
Photography I, Ceramics I, Art III, and a "How to Draw" class with
beginning students. Alana's exceptional artistic talents will be
well served in this new venue. How lucky for her new school district
and her future students. Congratulations, Alana, I know how excited
you are to get started!

Chelsea Mullins has
accepted an Elementary Art Teaching position in New York. She will
be teaching at PS.67, which is part of 369 in Brooklyn. She continues to look for an
apartment, that won't break the bank. I know she will bring her
sincere love and compassion to "her new children" in this
challenging urban environment. Congratulations Chelsea!

Nicole Roth will be
the new 7th and 8th grade Art Teacher at Shawnee Middle School
in the Easton Area School District as of August, 2005. Nicole
expects to also use her talents in computer technology with this new
adventure. I join you in your excitement Nicole, and wish for your
continued success. Congratulations for a dream realized.

Tracy Maalouf will
be an Art Teacher in the Northwestern Lehigh
School District, beginning in August, 2005. Her assignment will be
on both the Elementary and Secondary levels. She has been very busy
this summer developing her art room for the exciting
adventures that lie ahead of her. Congratulations Tracy, I
personally know how thrilled you are for this new challenge.

Susan Stevens has
lived an exciting 2005 summer, to say the least!. She and her
husband (also a Moravian grad) have accepted new teaching positions
in South Carolina. Since they felt the commute from PA would be too
great...hummm....they also sold their PA home and relocated with
their two children in August. Susan will be teaching Art Education
at the Greer Middle School in Greenville. She will have two 6th, two
7th, and one 8th grade class and is excited about it all. Best
wishes to everyone!

Heather McGarvie graduated from
Moravian College with honors in May, 2005, and will continue her studies in both
print making and paper making at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts,
Philadelphia, PA. This was her first choice for graduate schools.

Amy Kranchalk has
accepted an Art Teaching position in Allentown, New Jersey near her
home. It is in the Upper Freehold Regional School District. She will be teaching
in the middle school, 5th through 8th grades. In addition to her
teaching duties, she will be coaching field hockey. Amy will
certainly be kept busy with all her new and exciting adventures.

Kristin Roberts is
extremely excited about her new position as an Art Teacher in the
Central Bucks School District. Kristin will be teaching 6th through
9th grade Art at the Holicong Middle School, located in Buckingham,
PA. Her primary responsibilities will be with 9th grade three
dimensional design. She has been busy all summer preparing her art
room for the Fall. Congratulations, Kristin!

Darla
Rodriguez (Kovacs)
graduated from Moravian College Magna Cum Laude in May, 2003.
She currently is teaching Art at Pine Grove Area High School in
Pine Grove, Pennsylvania. She is co-advisor to the Newspaper
and Art Club Coordinator at the High School. She is currently
working on her Masters in Art Education at Kutztown
University. Darla loves to have future teachers visit her
classroom if they do not mind the drive!

Erin Mariano (Engler) graduated from Moravian in May 2003. She
is now the art teacher at Wind Gap Middle School, Pen Argyl School
District. She teaches all students grades 4th through 8th. Erin is
also the advisor to the Art Academy which serves 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
students.

Jen Miller received her teaching certificate from Moravian in May
2003. She graduated with a 3.72 GPA . She also holds a BFA from
R.I.T. which she received in 1993. She currently teaches art education
to grades K-5 at the Ritter Elementary and Raub Middle Schools, in the
Allentown School District. She is the Art Club founder at both
buildings, inspiring her young students to change their environment
through large-scale projects. She is currently deciding which Pollock to
purchase for her living room. Go Jen!

Christopher
Marcin graduated from Moravian College, Magna Cum Laude, in May
2003. He is currently teaching at his alma-mater, Arthur L. Johnson High
School in Clark, New Jersey. Chris incorporates humor into his lessons
in order to create a comfortable and safe learning environment. He is
the head Track coach and co-advisor to the Art Club. Chris’ advice to
future teachers; "Be prepared, Be creative, and Be yourself!"
