Connecting Computers and other
Video Devices to LCD Projectors

LCD (liquid crystal display)
projectors provide a means to enlarge the video output of
computers and other video devices.
To use a LCD
Projector:
• Connect the
projector to a video source
|
Connections are always
made from a video output (computer or video) to a video
input (Projector).

Basic
Operation
|

- Shutting down the projector is a two
step process. (1) turn off the projector. This allows the unit to
cool down. On many projectors a standby light will indicate when
it is safe to (2) turn off the power to the projector. (There is
usually a fan that will shut off automatically when the projector
has sufficiently cooled.) Projection lamps for these units are
very expensive. Allowing the lamp to cool greatly increases the
life of the projection lamp!!
Note: With some projectors, the
computer video display is not available until the projector is turned
on.
