ST-7 CCD Camera
The ST-7 CCD camera is made by Santa Barbara Instrument Group (SBIG). It has a Kodak KAF-0400 chip that contains 765 by 510 pixels, each of which is 9 microns square. When used with our Meade 8-inch f/10 telescope, its field of view is 12 by 8 arcminutes, yielding 0.93 arcseconds per pixel. The A/D resolution is 16 bits. Thermoelectric cooling achieves -25 degrees C below ambient temperatures.
The ST-7 has a built-in ST-4 chip for automatic guiding. See the ST-4 description for the properties of that chip.
